AND DOWN THEY CAME........ (Season Five Ep 6)
The Losties I mean. Now we know the plane crashed somewhere in time (btw wasn't that just a darling movie with Chris Reeve and Jane Seymour?) That Lapidus is some damn fine pilot ain't he. The plane looked pretty much in tact except for the few disappearing Losties. From my astute observation and various others going on in the internets it seems like Jack, Hurley, Kate and Jin are in the 1970s when Dharma started. God only knows in what time zones the others landed in. It's like a revolving mirror thing at an amusement park.
Now the main surprise of the episode as I'm sure you'll agree was when poor defeated John went to kill himself. But Ben arrived in the nick of time to try and save him. I was so confused during the exchange because it was so weird and why not let Locke just kill himself? Well my theory on this becuase I am still hoping Ben is good; is that Locke Lost his Faith, Ben restored it and killed him because he could not DIE by suicide. Just like when Michael tried to ram his car and got in the accident and tried to fire the gun. It wasn't supposed to happen that way and so, it didn't. Jesus didn't commit suicide he DIED for man's sins. SO there's the religious spin on that one. Take it for what it's worth.
We got to see Walt again which was awesome. Why Walt doesn't have to go back to the Island (or Aaron either) since they are special is beyond me and John saying that Walt's been through enough. Sure enough Big Bad Abbadon gets blown away. By whom? If he's an associate of Widmore then why would Widmore blast him? And does this now mean that theory of Walt being a grown up Abbadon is gone? Maybe not. The dead do seem to pop up an awful lot on this show.
Can't leave out the newbies Cesar and that Sheriff Chick. They don't look like innocent passengers to me. Mr Salad himself was digging around files, forget things like oh I don't know food, water, survival gear. Something ain't right but this is lost so how could it be?
And then of course we a fully resurrected presumbly not smelly John Locke sitting on the sand admiring the Island. He is alive! He is risen! Notice Cesar is the one making the big fuss about not seeing John on the plan. That should lead into something. So, now what is poor Locke to do. He certainly doesn't know that not only he but several other Losties are there with him--in one time or another. So what do they do when they reunite, hold hands in a circle and sing Cum bya?
SPOILER: I saw a pic of Jack in Dharma suit in a magazine. Pretty fair to determine he has infiltrated Dharma with Jin and the others.
BEST LINES:
Abbadon regarding Walt: Boys Gotten Big
Ben after Killing John Locke: I'll miss you John. I really will.
THOUGHTS /RANTS
I want Ben to be one of the good guys, I admit it. Yes, certainly he's done his fair share of really really bad stuff but it's because he HAD to. He had to Kill Locke and now look, Locke is alive and well and suntaning himself on the beach. Just where Jacob fits into this I have no idea anymore. Future John, Future Jack, Future AAron? Are the kiddies Yi Yeon, Aaron and Walt gonna have to go back together to save the adults asses?????? I don't know bout you but I am along for the ride.
